Adv. No- F. No. 3/6/2019-P&P-I (Vol.-1): The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India.

   Scale of Pay:

• Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200).
• Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).
• Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)
• Data Entry Operator, Grade (A): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).

Reservation: 

1. Reservation for the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-servicemen (ESM) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) etc. categories is available as per extant Govt. Orders.
2. The Commission makes selection of candidates in pursuant to the vacancies reported by the concerned User Departments for various posts. The Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies of any User Department. Implementation of reservation policy, maintaining reservation roster and earmarking of vacancies for different categories comes under the domain of the User Departments.

Selection Process: 

The exam will consist of a Computer based Written Examinations for  (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination for the post of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Lower Division Clerk post.

Age Limit Details : 

Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years as on 01-01-2020 (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1993 and not later than 01-01-2002).

Important Dates:

• Last date for online Submission: 10-January-2020

• Last date for offline Challan  and online fee payment: 12-January-2020

• Last date for offline Challan : 12-January-2020

• Last date for payment through Challan : 14-January-2020

• Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): 16th March to 27th March 2020

• Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper): 28th June 2020.

Qualification:

Educational Qualification (as on dated 01-08-2019):
For LDC / JSA, PA / SA, DEO	Candidates must have passed Matric with 12th class standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
For DEO in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG)	Matric with 12th class pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized board or equivalent.
